HELP! How do you get rid of grass stains on your clothes?
'Shout' it out. Hasn't failed me yet.
Reply:Things You’ll Need:

Chlorine Bleach

RIT Dyes

Laundry Detergents

Vinegar

Bacteria/enzyme Cleaners

Baking Soda

Hydrogen Peroxides

Rubbing Alcohol

Kitchen Sponges

Washable Fabrics

Step1

Sponge washable fabric with water. Then sponge the stain with rubbing alcohol and let it dry. Do not use alcohol on silk or wool. Dilute the alcohol a lot (three parts water to one part alcohol) for acetate.

Step2

Sponge with cool water, then work liquid detergent into the stained area. Rinse with water. Let dry.

Step3

If the stain remains, soak the fabric in a mixture of 1 qt. warm water and 1 tbsp. stain-removing enzyme product for 30 to 60 minutes. Rinse thoroughly and re-launder in hot water, with a bleach that's safe for the fabric.

Step4

Bleach with hydrogen peroxide as a last resort.

Dry-Cleanable Fabrics

Step1

For best results, take the garment to the dry cleaners as soon as you can. Point out where the grass stains are.

Step2

If you need to remove the stain yourself, sponge with white vinegar, then water. If that doesn't do it, apply a paste of enzyme product ' but not to silk or wool. Leave on 30 minutes, then blot with a warm-water sponge.

Step3

Try applying a paste of baking soda and water to the stain. Work in a little white vinegar with a sponge. The bubbling of the chemical reaction may work to get the stain out.

*************************

Tips:

Use RIT whitener or another dye remover/stripper to bleach stains out and put those chemical brighteners back in. This process dyes a fabric white again.

Don't use alkalis such as ammonia, degreasers or alkaline detergents on grass stains. They interact with the grass and can permanently set the stain.

On some fabrics, a grass stain cannot be removed, not even by the dry cleaner.

Chlorine bleach may change the color of the garment or cause irreversible damage. Check for colorfastness before using. If the stain does not come out within 15 minutes of bleaching, it cannot be removed by bleaching.
Reply:spray a good amount of shout on it and let it set and then wash it in warm water. if it doesn't come out all the way Don't dry it. Lay it flat and pour lemon juice on it and let it set for about 30 min. or more and then re-wash it and that should do the trick. I have gotten all kinds of stains out of clothes just using lemon juice. Good luck!!
Reply:put dish soap on it, and then lightly scrub it together....wash right away, and before you dry it check the stain. IF its still there, put something like shout, or spray and wash on and then wash again. This usually always works for my boys who always seem to get grass stains.
Reply:I use a lot of Shout product. My son is forever getting stains on the knees of his jeans. Now I use Lever bar soap. I use a wet bar of soap and scrub the stain well before washing. This works for us.

Never dry a garment before the stain has been removed or it will set into the fabric from the heat of the dryer.

Good luck!
Reply:Cold water, a good bar soap, and elbow grease. I am the mother of a young man who played football. White pants! By hand is the only way with cold water so you do not set the stain.

I what supplements will help my endurance and recovery?

I like to ride my mountain bike. However, I am quite fatigued after. As I get older it is taking longer to recover. Will taking creatine help? Any other supplements out there that can help?

I what supplements will help my endurance and recovery?
glutamine
Reply:Creatine works with ATP to fuel muscle contractions during high intensity anaerobic exercise. I wouldn't recommend it for aerobic type activities such as mountain biking. It won't make a difference.

Try a meal replacement shake before and after your biking. It helps restore nutrients and minerals quickly and efficiently.

You may also need to decrease the time you bike. Or you need a break. Take a week off to give your body time to recover if you're overtrained.
Reply:It might. Be prepared to gain a few pounds though. see the link for a decent article on creatine and endurance training.

I would stick with the standard recovery formula- something with a 4:1 ratio carbs:protein. you can get that from chocolate milk or slimfast. cheap and proven to work. take within 30 minutes of finishing your workout.

maybe you need a hard/easy program on the bike
Reply:Glutamine is an amino acid that is used to prevent muscle breakdown.

Creatine is used to increase the ATP in muscles so yes it will help to increase endurance.

For speedy recovery try simple carbohydrates such as,

Fruit juice,

Bread made with white flour.

Pasta made with white flour,

All baked goods made with white flour.

The fatigue your experiencing on your bike rides is a result of depleted glycogen stores try loading up on complex carbohydrates and fats before your rides this should help.

What kind of tool is used to create the help that appears on BlackBerry devices?

What kind of output is used to display help screens on BlackBerry devices? I've been told that BlackBerry Browsers can display HTML help. Is there a way to adjust screen resolution and size for mobile devices? Any insight is greatly appreciated! I am a technical writer who creates help text for Web applications, but I haven't yet created help text that is displayed on mobile devices.

Should I pay an independent financial wiz to help my daughter negotiate at the car dealership?

My daughter lives in a different state so I can't do it myself. I expect her to get a new or very late model vehicle, in the $22K to $29K range. I would like her to be more comfortable shopping with less potential pressure from salespeople. Also, how much would this service be worth? Thanks for your help!

Should I pay an independent financial wiz to help my daughter negotiate at the car dealership?
No why spend the money. The important thing when buying a car is that you know your information - go to edmunds.com or Kelly Blue Book to find out the true market value of the car she is interested. And you have to be willing to walk away from the dealership you don't like what they are offering. This would be good experience for your daughter - let her do it. But she has to be armed with information before going in.
Reply:If your daughter is old enough to live in another state, then she's old enough to negotiate a price on a car. You sound like you are trying to manage a baby instead of an independent young woman.

That being said, I still think you can do it, if you want. Just manage the transaction over the internet yourself. Send her out for test drives. She lets you know what she likes, and the prices. You email the internet desk at the dealer and negotiate over the internet. Dealers hate that because people tend to get the best price over the net. But, most will do it. And, you dont have to pay anyone to do it on your behalf, which generally will cost you several hundred dollars or more.

2. Wrap your wet hair in a towel for five minutes.

3. After five minutes take the towel off and comb your hair using a detangling (or wide-tooth) comb.

4. Apply straightening balm. Make sure to cover all areas of your hair.

5. Comb your hair every 30 minutes until dry.

6. Straighten your hair section by section using a flat iron.

7. Lightly spray on hairspray.

8. Spray the hairspray onto your palm and apply it to those hard-to-reach areas such as the bottom layer of your hair.

Any drugstore shampoo and conditioner to help maintain newly dyed red hair?

Does anyone know of any shampoo or conditioner that's specifically formulated to help keep red-dyed hair red longer. I hate the fact that red fades so quickly, but I love the way I look in red hair. Thanks for the help.

TERRIBLE!

If you want to maintain good-looking colored hair you have to use good products.

How do you get help from an eating disorder without anyone knowing?

I've been struggling with eating disorders for about three years, and only a couple of my friends know about it. Recently, it's been getting worse, and I know that I need help. But I really don't want my parents to know because it will break their hearts. Is there any way to get treated without my parents finding out?

How do you get help from an eating disorder without anyone knowing?
If you're not an adult, no. You cannot get legal medical help as a minor without your parents permission.
Reply:I can relate to how you want to do it on your own.

I hope that you can.

Please know that your parents love you very much.

Please try and believe that they already are trying to figure out how to help you...they just don't know what it is.

*it only breaks a parents heart when we don't let them in and let them help us!*

***When I needed help with a problem, I called all my family members and friends and told them what was going on, and what my plan of action was, asked them not to judge, and to just support me.***

(of course they cried, but they were relieved that they could be supportive and helpful!)

Good luck, and you are never alone.

There are groups, individual counseling, and treatment centers.

Reply:You really need to tell your parents and get help. It isn't a shameful thing and there is nothing for you to feel guilty about. It isn't your fault and they will want to help you. Depending on your age, I don't know that you could get medical or psychiatric help for it without your parents.
Reply:WILL POWER. all you need if yur gonna do it alone. but you should tell your parents so you can get help. trying to overcome that by yourself could be challenging
Reply:well i still think that it is best if you let your parents know because when it gets worse they will find out and it is quite difficult trying to heal yourself

and when they find out any later they will get even more heart broken
Reply:You could try to find a way, but it might be best if you tell them so they can help you through it. Not having their support and feeling guilty about hiding this from them could make your recovery more difficult. Would'nt it hurt them more if they found out by themselves and that you didn't trust them enough to tell them?

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ help???

well i need to know the good and bad things of having a navel(ships) and air blockade as a war strategy..

THANX TO THE PEOPLE WHO HELP

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ help???
Well for starters it's a good theory but not good enough.

you have air and water blocked off but what about ground? You can block things off but you are not fighting a war by just blocking. You also are blocking waterways and airspace so you cannot receive many shipments of medications, food, resources people need or want.

If you fight a war you are fighting for a reason, either someone was invading your country or you are helping another country you are an ally with. So either way just air and water isn't going to be enough to win a war you need the ground effort as well to advance.

Help%26gt;.....?
Hi! There are ways to eat healthy without having to limit yourself from the obvious foods. There is a video on a site called Capessa.com that I work with that could be helpful to you. http://capessa.com/members/storyactions....

It talks about how you can eat healthier through a vegetarian/vegan diet but it doesn't have to be bland or intimidating. The video talks about these three ingredients that are healthy and can be very flavourful.

* Tempeh (soy-based) is very easily digestible and delicious—but it needs to be prepared well. You can crumble it and sauté it like ground beef. It’s tricky to master it, but once you do, you can use it for anything.

* Tofu (soy-based) can take on any flavor, and you can marinate it in anything. You can make it into a cutlet, or you can make it into cubes. It’s white and gelatinous and it’s got a funny name, so it has a tough time in terms of how we look at it. People think it’s weird, but if you prepare it properly, it’s quite delicious.

* Seitan (wheat meat) is my favorite because it’s so versatile. It’s a plant-based protein, but it’s got the texture of animal protein. People tell me they’ve had the best lamb they’ve ever had at my restaurant. People have thanked me for giving them the best veal dish they’ve ever had. It was really seitan they were eating. You can make great burgers out of it, and you can’t even tell that it’s not animal protein.

As vegetarian myself I must say that those 3 things helped me during my transition period when I wanted to eat healthier. And the vegan restaurant by my work serves great dishes with seitan, especially, and i love it.

Definitely go talk to a nutritionist first and they can help figure out what is best for you and your diet. They can help you with wise food choices. Also, keep in mind that you can always get creative with recipes so that you taking one main ingredient and using it in various ways to keep things interesting. But in your case make sure they are safe and appropriate choices.

Hope this helps and good luck!!

I'm doing a science project that involves "Does the weight of a skateboarder increase their speed?". Easy right? But the problem is how am i going to test that? Please Help!!!!!!!!!

------%26gt;help%26lt;-----?!?!?
thats an easy one. yes. weight(mass) increases speed (velocity).

take bricks and place on a skateboard and roll down hill. try different weights, over same distance. measure speed. easy.

you can use anything that rolls and holds wieght to test the theory.

i am of the assumption that you know how to measure speed....stop watch over a measured distance
Reply:go make some skater friends.

no "m"

hehhehehe
Reply:Momentum and how it's affected by weight. basically your looking for the terminal velocity of items - the friction of the ground. get different skateboards that are a different weight but about the same size. make a ghetto "bowling ally" looking thing with tape for a finish line. roll each skatebord that is a different weight and time how long it takes to get to the finish. There are a lot of flaws but if its not for college they won't care that you could push them differently accidently. I LOVE SKATERS!!!!!!!!!

Please help! i'm doing a science expeiment for school that's due tommorow. i need to know what has more carbonation, coke or diet coke. i don't have any materials to do the expereiment, and my parents are gone so i can't get any. if i turn in another late assignment i will have after school detention for a month. please help me by telling me what has more carbonation, and how you know. i will give the best anwser to the first person to give me an accurate anwser on how much coke and diet coke would be left in a 20 ounce bottle after i shake them twenty five times each (please tell me in ounces,) . i would also like backround information, sources, or any other way to prove your anwser.

Thank you for all your help,

Lance

%26lt;$!~HeLP~!$%26gt;?
Well, when you mix Diet Coke %26amp; Mentos together, it spews farther and faster than regular Coke and Mentos..... so I'd guess Diet Coke has more carbonation.
Reply:i don't know why i'm helping you, but you could search these stuff on the net and get up your own report using your imagination and snatches of information on the net...

of course you gotta do it yourself and don't procrastinate!!!

Help!!!!!!?

ok im planning on being a pilot in the Air Force. ideally, to make my trip to becoming a pilot much easier, i am most likely going to join an aviation college somewhere near. i was wondering if anyone knew of what requirement would help me to get a college to recognize me, and also what would make it that much easier to become a pilot in the Air Force. (ex: flight time or a single engine aircraft liscense, etc.) HELP!!!

Help!!!!!!?
I'm helping my 16 y/o daughter carve out a path for a military helicopter pilot gig. First of all she was told if she needed corrective eye surgery (Laser) she would have to go to a military approved surgeon.

As far as going to an aviation college, that's something I've completely forbidden as that doesn't help you become a pilot in the military. It's a worthless degree unless you have licenses as a mechanic or avionics tech. I know I have a

BS in Aviation Tech and it was worthless. Get a degree in something non aviation related that you can get a good job, if you don't make it as a pilot, or something you can use if you don't pass a medical. I have gotten MORE flight time with my nursing license than I ever did with my worthless aviation degree. I was a flight nurse as well as a commercial/instructor.

Don't buy what the aviation college diploma mills like Embry Riddle, or University of North Dakota are selling. I trained pilots from all different kinds of universities some with degrees in History, Education or Engineering. They got a flight slot in the military and contracted our flight school to get their private licenses. Aviation Degrees..Priceless?? NO but they are costly and WORTHLESS.

Embry Riddle 1034 dollars per credit hour..and their college algebra is the same as a community college... why pay that kind of money??
Reply:Go to a civilian community college which offers a two year program in avionics, or Airframe and Powerplant. then go onto a four year degree in Industrial Safety, or Industrial Hygiene. that combined with your military flight time, you can get good paying jobs three different ways. Report It

Reply:Correction on the above. Your vision needs to be 20/20 UNCORRECTABLE for your first physical. Now after that you can wear glasses but to get in you need 20/20 vision.
Reply:i can help you with some flying.....FSX training

http://www.freewebs.com/flighttraining10...
Reply:I suggest you get your 4 year degree with your ratings and then you can go into the air force as an Officer, make a boat load more cash than you would by starting fresh.

I was talking with a former F-16 pilot (now a southwest capt) and he said that all of the new fighter flight spots are for the "unmanned" aircraft. You sit in your flight suit here in the usa while someone in Iraq launches your unmanned aircraft. Everything is soo high tech these days; Anyway they make you wear your flight suit even though your behind some computer moniter 6000 miles away dropping bombs. Talk with your recruiter and see what he/she recomends.
Reply:The biggest thing you need to do is get good grades. You need to have an excellent GPA, as well as get involved in extra curricular activities like sports and clubs or anything else on campus. Although having a pilot's license looks good, grades are much more important. They will teach you how to fly, but they won't take you if you are a bad student. Good luck.
Reply:Talk to a recruiter, they can give you the most up to date info

Vision must be correctable to 20/20 for some aircraft (mostly cargo) but 20/20 or better for fighters. Being in good physical shape won't hurt. You will need a bachelors to be an officer, but there are programs that can help with that.

Just don't accept anything less than a guaranteed job. Don't enlist, you want to be commissioned.
Reply:My son is an Air Force pilot, currently flying the Pave Hawk helicopter in Iraq. He went ROTC and got his BS degree. He had 20/200 vision but had PRK surgery to correct it to 20/15. The Air Force limits how many pilot candidates can have the surgically corrected vision, so he had to excel in everything to get a slot. At the time Lasik was not acceptable to the Air Force. That may have changed now. Flying lessons in high school helped him score higher on evaluation exams and helped him get a leg up. Until you go through Independent Flight Training (private license essentially) and Undergraduate Flight Training you don't know what you'll end up flying, and that only narrows it down to tanker vs helo vs fighter, etc. In hindsight he recommends a different path if you want a better chance of flying something specific. I don't remember the details of the different path. Fortunately, he loves helos.
Reply:The best thing is talk to a recurter first. They will answer many of yoou\r questions as for you live there has to be many schools around
