Hay fever question : where do I get local honey from in London to help ease my symptoms?

Hi, I hear that eating local honey is meant to help alleviate hay fever. I am guessing that I can't just buy any old honey from Tesco! I need to get some locally produced honey, that is not too processed. But where can I buy this stuff if I live in London (few farmer's markets around here)?

thx

More often than not many local store carry local honey, and its just a matter of asking if they do. I hope this helps.
Reply:oh I thought you said a local honey... NM!
Reply:Eat grass and raw pollen...
Reply:Try health shops, also natural licorice is supposed to help.

Do you breath through your mouth by the way? try breathing through your nose, with perhaps a dab of vaseline around the nostrils.
Reply:It does - and it works well. Was going to say probably a farmers market - or try to find somewhere that sells local stuff. Not going to be easy :(
Reply:Regents Park Honey
Reply:I heard that the benefit of eating local honey is a wives tale. If there was a benefit, it would be in eating local honey as opposed to "remote" honey. The chance of finding local honey is very low. If you think honey is the culprit, try eating no honey at all.
Reply:where in london u need it that local bee keepers all over london a shop in battersea has honey with hive in shop. best way to help hay fever is to eat the cappins best to suck it as it can pull out fillings if u cant get cappings get comb this works best but if u hope it to work fast then sorry once u have a supply keep taking it all year, look up bee keepers on the net they will help u.popa
Reply:health food shop?
Reply:Some Waitrose stores sell local produce. I have also heard tht Manuka honey is good (from New Zealand - also the Manuka tree is used for Tea Tree Oil) although that is hardly local. Very very expensive though.
Reply:Small specialty stores, health food stores, fruit and vegetable (locally grown) stands. Read the label-it says where it comes from. Go to the city hall and find out if there are any bee keepers around. Look them up on line. There should be a group that does this.
