How did the New Deal help end the Great Depression? How did it help investment expenditures(GPDI) increase?

The investment expenditures or gross private domestic investment sector of the GDP increased after the New Deal was enacted. How did the New Deal help the gross private domestic investment increase?

the new deal put thousands to work building roads and bridges and the government subsidized much of the cost...more people working raised the GDP...the supreme court ruled many efforts unconstitutional, forcing roosevelt to try a new approach, but the bottom line, the new deal helped many unemployed survive, and then, of course, in the early forties, WWII started and many say this war effort also contributed to our economy rebounding from the depression....oh, and as an aside: we are heading for another depression, but many will discount this as a bogus claim. (i hope i'm wrong, but evidence suggests a depression is a real possibility)
Reply:What really got the US out of the depression was WW2 .
