Ive been serching for aweek and ahalf and keep comming up short. Im interested in working in the music industry but cant seem to find anything here in Dalas, Tx. Any tips?

It always seems like the best way to find a job is to have one.





Therefore, don't be too picky. Put in a lot of applications and take any decent job you can find.





Then, when you're employed and the money's rolling in, start checking into jobs in the music industry.

Reply:In general, getting a job is based on the value you bring to the employer. I admit I know nothing about the music industry, but I do know you have to be more focused. What exactly do you want to do? What about your past jobs can bring value to a music employer?





Ask yourself if you can downsize for a while. Music is a "glamor" industry, so you may have to take a more menial job to get in. I once took a copy editing job to get my foot in the door for magazine writing--and it worked over time.
