Can someone help me write a business letter?

I need to write a business letter inviting the general public to an opening of an event. I haven't written a buisness letter before.. can someone help with a general outline of one?

Can someone help me write a business letter?
I have put a link down in the source box beIow for the format of the letter. Format is not the hard part.

Where people get hung up is on WHAT/HOW to write, so here goes. Think of ABC.

The start of a business letter contains an Abstract. An abstract tells the person upfront "What is in it for them?" So, a letter like yours might start with a question. Ever wonder what the result of all construction at the center of the town over the last two years will be? Well, here's your chance to find out. On June 10th, the merchants' association will be holding an open house from 7-9 pm at town center. It gives an abstract: something accurate and short.

B is the for the body. Just expand on what was in the abstract. You would highlight what merchants are participating, what's new or been redone, and maybe where to park and the availability of shuttle buses.

C is the conclusion. Readers remember best what the read last. Maybe you could mention the FREE door prizes and the percent- off coupons. People love the word free as well as percent off and door prizes. So, come on down and join us-- repeat the time and place.

Hope this was a help.
